A Tribute to Daring & Inspiration!
By Carolyn Campbell

Have you noticed how time tends to fly by? It seems like last week was July! We get so caught up in tons of emails, bills and daily demands that we can forget what is important. This brief tribute is a note of thanks to those who have helped me remember what I am here to do and re-member all the parts of me that I need to join together in order to achieve it.

At the end of the year, Barbara Walters does a special of the 10 most fascinating people of the year. As I watched her special I thought of my own people- those who have stepped beyond the fray, and are unwavering in their commitment to strengthen the human spirit and heal the wounds of a fractured world. So, this month, here is my tribute to those who have guided my year with daring, trust and honor.

I often talk about the importance of a support team to keep you going when times get rough, to celebrate with you when you accomplish something you didn’t think you could, and to help you remember who you are when you forget. They may be a friend, a colleague or a healer. As I started to make my list, I was struck by the gifts I have received from so many. I invite you to ask yourself, who are yours?

For me, a special thanks and tribute to:

Rhodessa Jones- A performer of life whose commitment to tell the ‘untellable stories’ with ferocity; loving humanity provides a beacon of hope in a time of uncertainty. And if you are lucky enough to see her perform or hear her speak, she will shake up the room and then put it back together with a new fierce, yet loving smile that will beguile and transform.

CJ Hayden- A coach who inspires and guides leaders of change. Her generous commitment to social change and the power of everyday heroes has provided tools and confidence to those of us who have a vision seeking form.

Larry Novick- A chiropractor who blends immense structural knowledge with energetic healing. His uncluttered and simple message of honoring the body’s innate ability to listen, breathe and heal is revelatory and humbling.

My brother- Confronted with immense challenges he continues to deepen his faith in others and honor himself with humor, naked honesty and respect.

My clients – Wow! What a gift to be a part of such incredible callings. It is inspiring to witness your commitment to stretch beyond old beliefs to reveal the ‘you’ that is longing to be seen.

May we all be blessed with the courage to be who we are most meant to become.
